What We Do

The SportXcel Youth Fitness Foundation provides low-cost, high-return wellness education and fitness training to elementary, middle and high school students.

The Foundation's aims are simple:

• Get Physical Education back in schools
• Support community efforts to improve physical education
• Support high-potential athletes
• Research correlations between increased physical education and improved grades and lifestyle choices

Improving youth fitness is the SportXcel Youth Fitness Foundation's goal and it begins in schools.  At the invitation of individual schools or entire districts, the Foundation is providing a variety of direct contact activities and on-site student seminars, as well as train-the-trainer sessions for school physical education instructors and coaches.

The Foundation also is conducting research regarding the link between physical fitness and improved academic performance.  Testing is intended to identify the optimum amount of time required in fitness activities to complement learning at a variety of developmental stages.        

The SportXcel Youth Foundation will reach more than 20,000 students annually in each community where it operates.  The Foundation’s programs require minimal equipment cost, focusing on low cost-per-student educational activities, physical training and materials for instructors and coaches.  The Foundation also provides grants to promising student-athletes for elevated sports performance conditioning and education.

The SportXcel Youth Foundation uses science-based methodologies developed by the professional trainers and sports medicine professionals of the SportXcel training program and its affiliate centers.
